When I created Datalus, my original thesis was that users would opt to shift their browsing to a new browser that could protect their privacy better than Chrome. That has turned out not to be the case. While users would use the Datalus browser because we made it a requirement, only 30% were excited to switch to it. After a follow-on survey this month, all users that answered said they would be willing to use Datalus as a plugin for other browsers.
Effective today, we have paused the development of the Datalus Browser, still available for windows preview, until we reach version 1.0.0 of our cross-browser data sharing plugin. The work on the marketplace and data ingestion continues as well with Web3 integration. Speaking of Web3 front, we are still planning a presale to help raise for the next step in our development.
We believe this shift in focus will allow us to deliver value to our users and data buyers faster and more effectively. Look out for the Datalus Marketplace Browser Plugin soon from your browser's app store. Pop into our Discord if you have any questions. Thanks for believing in us.
